Walker Lewis is an attorney at Ortale Kelley, where his practice focuses on real estate transactions, commercial leasing, title matters, and community association representation. He represents and advises developers, landlords, tenants, real estate brokers, lenders, builders, real estate agents, and their clients in connection with a wide range of residential and commercial real estate matters.
Walker assists clients with the planning, structure, financing, leasing, and management of real property transactions. His work includes commercial real estate matters involving restaurants, retail centers, convenience stores and gas stations, office space, and mixed-use developments. He also represents clients in residential and commercial closings, including matters involving the issuance of title insurance.
In addition to his real estate practice, Walker provides counsel to condominium associations, homeowners’ associations, and property managers. He advises clients on the interpretation and enforcement of restrictive covenants and governing documents, dispute resolution, and the collection of delinquent assessments.
Walker joined Ortale Kelley in 2021 after earning his J.D. from the University of Tennessee College of Law. During law school, he clerked for Ortale Kelley and served as a judicial intern for the Honorable Mark S. Norris in the United States District Court for the Western District of Tennessee.
At the University of Tennessee, Walker was a member of the Moot Court Board after being recognized for his brief writing in the College of Law’s Advocate’s Prize mock trial competition. He also served on two peer-reviewed journals: the Tennessee Law Review, where he was an Articles Editor, and Transactions: The Tennessee Journal of Business Law, where he was a Research Editor. He published several case comments with Transactions during his time on the journal.
Outside of the office, Walker enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife and their dog, Charlie – and playing golf rounds that end with scores under three digits.
